Biker types

What type of biker are you?

Whether you're looking for an adrenaline rush on the downhill track, prefer to enjoy flowing trails or want to perfect your skills in the park – here, you decide what suits your riding style. However, one thing applies to everyone: protective gear and a suitable bike are an absolute must!

beginners

Start by getting to know your bike properly and familiarising yourself with the basic techniques. Our training area at the Waldbahn valley station is perfect for this.

When you're ready, let's go! We recommend the Bifitrail for your first descents. Once you feel confident, you can try new challenges: try the Milky Way, Vuelta and Morning Glory variations. Please note that the Morning Glory only goes halfway to the valley station – continue your descent on the Milky Way.

Bikers without bike park experience

MTB offers plenty of variety and combines different disciplines – from downhill to cross country and slopestyle to enduro. If your focus has been more on cross country or uphill riding so far, you should first familiarise yourself with your bike in the bike park. The best way to do this is to do a few laps in our training area at the Waldbahn valley station.

Your first rides in the bike park

To get started, we recommend our green and blue trails. The Milky Way is perfect for warming up. Once you feel confident, you can move on to the Vuelta or Morning Glory and take on new challenges.

Jumping – get your airtime

What would a bike park be without airtime? If you have little or no experience jumping, start with small obstacles and wooden ramps on the blue trails. Or try your hand at the drop battery in the slopestyle area behind the Waldbahn valley station.

Downhill, freeride & enduro pros

Whether you're a downhill rider, freerider, enduro rider or park enthusiast, you'll find exactly the trails you need to get your pulse racing at the bike park. Whether you're looking for awesome airtime, challenging steep sections or endless descents, your next adventure awaits here!

Park lovers

Do jump lines get your heart racing and put a huge smile on your face? Then the Strada del Sole (red) is just the thing for you: over 40 jumps await you! You'll find even more airtime on the Freeride (red) – high speed, endless flow, maximum riding fun.

Downhiller

Do you like it steep, technical and dirty? On the Downhill (black) trail, you can expect deep forest soil, fast off-camber passages, Northshores and a challenging rock garden. If you're looking for even more of a challenge, try the Hill Bill (black) – it gets really wild here!

Freerider

Do you love roots, big jumps and technically challenging passages? Then the Hill Bill (black) and the Freeride (red) are perfect for you. The Hill Bill offers house drops, root carpets and Northshores, while the Freeride rewards you with high, wide jumps and endless airtime.

Endurist

Are you looking for nature, panoramic views and flowing single trails away from the crowds? Then the Frommestrail is a must! The Schönjochbahn cable car takes you up to an altitude of 2,440 metres, where an alpine trail with over 1,000 metres of descent and breathtaking views awaits you. The Jochtrail also starts at Schönjoch – narrow, playful and always along the mountainside. And if you want even more: Trail Day offers you the maximum number of metres of descent – in good company and with guaranteed fun.

Slope - styler

No bike park would be complete without a slopestyle course. Behind the Waldbahn valley station, you will find two lines with whale tails and kickers where you can enjoy plenty of airtime. The large ramp down and up through the air onto the landing airbag gives you the opportunity to show off your tricks and try out new ones.
